About HCW: Our principal activity is the procurement and marketing of Point of Sale advertising material and we are very experienced in supplying a variety of point of sale products. We’re based in Surrey, in the South East of England and we are active in the EU as well as the USA. Using ethically approved sources, we work closely with our manufacturing plants both in the UK and offshore to monitor projects on a regular basis. We have been a member of the BPMA for over 25 years and are an associated member of SIBA. We are also a member of Ecovadis. We regularly visit our long term Suppliers and conduct Site Inspections & Audits to ensure their compliance to our standards. We enjoy working with the development of new products and to that end continue to explore new supplier routes.

History: Hancock Corfield and Waller Ltd. were originally established in Bermondsey in 1891. Their business was printing on metal. Multi-colour printing on metal is a highly specialised reproductive process and they manufactured large enamel signs, which were commonplace all over the UK. Many of the customers exported all over the world so their products were found throughout the world by the early 20th century.

Among customers they supplied were Booth’s Gin, Bovril, EverReady Batteries, Flower’s Ales, Hartley’s Jams, Murphy Radio, Mars Confectionary, Whiteway’s Cider and more.

Another product they manufactured were waiter trays, which created a very wide customer base but especially within the drinks and tobacco trade.

From the manufacturing base in Mitcham, the company began to supply other related items to their customers. Mr Waller joined the company in 1918, by which time the company had added ceramic items to the range forming working partnerships with Stoke on Trent potteries. There was a slight interruption in this type of production due to the factory’s supply of metal articles to the forces, particularly specialising in water-bottle – presses on the machines that had formerly embossed show cards or shaped waiter trays.

Since 1978 we have been supplying and producing branded Point of Sale Products/ bespoke promotional merchandise mainly to the food and drink industries, specialising in promotional ceramics. We offer a wide selection of products that range from Ceramic Jugs and Tankards, Promotional Mugs, Trays, Umbrellas, Ice Buckets and much more.
